Guides are the long form of this site: one subject, taken from first principles to the point where you could hold your own with a watchmaker. They are written to be read once, carefully, rather than skimmed, and they go to the governing standard rather than to a summary of it. Where a claim rests on ISO 22810, ISO 6425, a COSC criterion or a manufacturer's own technical sheet, the guide says so.
